This duo project is the brainchild of two very original voices on the Swedish and international jazz scene. Guitarist Loke Risberg and bassist Ilaria Capalbo have been captivating audiences and press alike for the freshness and boldness of their playing and the deeply imaginative quality of their compositions. They both have firm roots in classical music, vast experience in the jazz idiom and are in their element also performing in pop, punk and electro noise bands. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Their music flows effortlessly between powerful and reflective moments, between improvised outbursts of raw energy and thoughtfully composed movements. The complementary, unique nature of their sound on their respective instruments combines in a way that has been often described as a meeting of fire and ice.
Each note is carved to invite the audience to a journey in their inner world: a place where fantastic, fearless and wild creatures live.

Stockholm-based Italian bassist/composer Ilaria Capalbo is equally at ease building hard-swinging lines and wrecking havoc on the whole sound spectrum of the instrument. She is a rising star on the international jazz scene, who earned her stripes as a versatile musician and gifted composer. In addition to leading her own band, Ilaria is a member of Fredrik Nordström's DOLORES, Mats Bergström trio, Samuel Hällkvist's Allitteration, Italian trio KÓSMOS among others. She shared the stage with names such as Norma Winstone, Stefano di Battista, Cassie Kinoshi & SEED Ensemble, Amanda Ginsburg and many more and has composed music for the dance company Cullberg.

Loke Risberg (aka Susanna) has a long career behind him with four albums in his own name "Susanna Risberg Trio" (2013), "Utfall" (2015), "Vilddjur" (2018) and the CAM Jazz debut "Boiler Room" (2021). Today, Loke has toured the world as a soloist and band leader. Loke has played with musicians and ensembles such as Nils Landgren, Maria Schneider, Terri Lyne Carrington, Linda May Han Oh, Svante Thuresson, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Blue House Jazz Orchestra to name a few. He has written music for The Gothenburg Combo, Ellen Nisbeth and the theater performance "Leif" (Leif Andrée, Ole Anders Tandberg).
